Why it matters

Saturated fat raises LDL cholesterol and soluble fibre lowers it, and both are sitting in the ingredient list. Half a cup of pecorino is a measurable amount of the first; a pan of lentils or a bowl of oats is a measurable amount of the second. Eating with that in view, week after week, is one of the few levers on cholesterol that is entirely yours. On a statin, there is one thing to avoid, and nunu will name it.

Nothing on a plate treats a condition. But your body is rebuilt from what you feed it, and how you eat over years is yours to decide. nunu makes the nourishing choice the easy one.
